The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry has issued a water safety bulletin for the Muskoka River Watershed, including Huntsville, Bracebridge, Minden, and Parry Sound, lasting until December 10th.

Due to the ongoing winter storm, high flows and melting ice may present hazards, though flooding is not expected.

Residents are urged to exercise caution around bodies of water and secure their properties near rivers and lakes.

The MNR says no ice is safe, and conditions are not stable enough for ice formation.
