Two people are facing multiple charges after leading OPP on a chase in Bracebridge.

Police say that on Friday, an officer observed a traffic violation and attempted a stop, but the suspect vehicle fled at high speed onto Highway 11 South.

After a brief pursuit, officers disengaged for safety reasons, but members of the public provided crucial tips. The vehicle was later found in a driveway in Gravenhurst, where the driver tried to flee on foot before being caught by the OPP K-9 unit.

29-year-old Eric Daoust of Espanola and 20-year-old Sage Sagassige of Sables-Spanish Rivers have been charged with numerous offenses, including dangerous operation, flight from police, and drug possession.

Both were held for a bail hearing on December 7th.
