Two more candidates for District Chair
One day remains before nominations for the District of Muskoka Chair are closed, and two new candidates filed their nomination forms.
Tim Withey - former Huntsville District Councilor and a candidate for Huntsville mayor in the last election - has entered the race.
Withey came in third in the bid to be Huntsville's mayor during the municipal election last month. In 2018, Withey won a seat as a district representative for Huntsville and has served as point man for the town in the re-development of the Huntsville hospital.
Also entering the race is Bracebridge area realtor Curry Clifford who has lived in the area for 7 years. Curry says municipal experience will be an asset at the District.
They join current Bracebridge district councillor Don Smith, longtime Gravenhurst politician Terry Pilger, and former three-term Barrie mayor, Jeff Lehman.
