Environment Canada says  that the lake effect snow off Georgian Bay will continue into this afternoon before weakening and shifting south of the region  this evening.

Additional snowfall accumulations today of 10-15cm are expected with peak snowfall rates exceeding 5cm/hr possible causing near white out conditions.

Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility. Road closures are possible.
