The province’s Special Investigations Unit is looking into the death of a 52 year-old man involved in a triple fatality on Highview Drive in Huntsville.

Preliminary reports indicate that on Friday, the man contacted police, claiming he had harmed 2 family members and was armed.

The O.P.P. quickly dispatched crisis negotiators and an Emergency Response Team, setting up a perimeter around the residence. After communication with the man ceased, a drone was sent in to search the home. Inside, authorities discovered the bodies of 2 deceased women and the man.

Four investigators and 2 forensic specialists are on the case, with a post-mortem scheduled for today.
