Environment Canada has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the listening area.

The weather forecaster says conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.

Wind gusts up to 100 km/h along with toonie to golf ball size hail, and localized heavy downpours is possible into this evening.
