MPP Graydon Smith announced on Friday that the province is investing over $28 million into Parry Sound-Muskoka for 2025, a 10% increase from last year.

Smith says "As a former mayor, I know how critical these funds are for municipalities to deliver essential services."

The investment is part of a broader provincial plan, with the Ontario government increasing the Ontario Municipal Partnership Fund by $100 million over two years.

Smith also pointed to additional funding, including $50 million for Muskoka’s infrastructure and $12 million through the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund, bringing total provincial investments in the region to over $90 million the past few months alone.

Smith praised the government's commitment to supporting local municipalities, noting that provincial funding to municipalities has grown by over 45% in the past five years.
