Today, municipalities across Muskoka will be raising the Progress Pride Flag to commence the Muskoka Pride Week, a week-long celebration of the LGBTQ community.

Dignitaries from the various Town Councils will attend each flag raising, along with Muskoka Pride board members.

It all starts at 9:45AM at Georgian Bay Admin Building in Port Severn and at the Lake of Bays Council Office, in Dwight.

At 10:45 the Wahta First Nation will raise the pride flag. Huntsville will raised the flag virtually at 10.45am

Other flag raisings include Muskoka Lakes at 12:30pm, Bracebridge at 1:45pm and Gravenhurst at 2:30pm
