Hydro One says crews are responding to outages affecting more than 10,000 customers in the region as quickly and as safely as possible. However, the potential for severe weather continues into this evening across parts of southern, central and eastern Ontario.

For those without power, crews estimate that power will be restored late tonight, with some of the harder to reach places possibly into tomorrow.

Stay clear of any fallen power lines. If you spot a fallen line, keep at least 10 metres back, even if it does not appear to be live. Report it to 911 and call Hydro One at 1-800-434-1235.
