On Tuesday, Lake of Bays council approved the Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department switching to firefighting foam and purchase a tanker truck.

Councilors heard that the fire department's new vehicle will come in $117,000 over budget at a cost of $646,934.

They don’t expect delivery for another 18 to 24 months.
