Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) has announced a new partnership with The Alexander Muskoka Residence in Gravenhurst, providing seven transitional care beds for hospital patients.

The agreement, celebrated on Friday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, is designed for patients who are ready to leave hospital care but need temporary support before transitioning to their next living situation.

MAHC President Cheryl Harrison called the program a critical solution, offering patients care in a more suitable environment while they regain independence. The partnership aims to ease hospital pressures and ensure patients receive care in the right setting at the right time.
