Gravenhurst Council approved a motion at their last meeting to appoint Councillor Heidi Lorenz as the Deputy Mayor. This motion was defeated at the October meeting, but after receiving legal advice, the motion was brought back and voted on in a recorded vote which saw Mayor Kelly and Councillors Varney, Murray, Gordon and Lorenz vote yea, with Councillors Cairns, Morphy, Klinck and Pilger voting no.
