Huntsville’s Jeff Allen recently returned home with a silver medal from the Veterans World Judo Championships in Las Vegas.

Competing in a 32-man bracket, Allen made it to the top 16, defeating opponents from the USA and Great Britain. In the final, he faced Brazilian Olympian Rubens Filho for the gold.

Despite a hard-fought battle, Allen earned a silver medal in the heavyweight division.

Representing Canada and Huntsville, Allen is already focused on training for next year.
