Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement advising of the risk of freezing rain overnight into Friday morning with locally icy conditions possible.

The weather agency says there is some uncertainty with the track of the weather system as well as the surface temperatures.

Currently, the greatest threat of freezing rain will be over eastern Ontario, where a freezing rain warning is in effect.
