The incoming District of Muskoka council chose former three-term Barrie Mayor Jeff Lehman as  the new Chair of the District.

Lehman defeated candidates Curry Clifford, Terry Pilger, Howard Rosenthal, Don Smith, and Tim Withey and will hold office until 2026.

13 of 22 district councillors chose Lehman in a secret ballot. Withey got five votes, Smith three, and Pilger one.

At the meeting, outgoing District Chair John Klinck gave Lehman the chain of office.
