The Township of Muskoka Lakes will begin the repairs to the Bala Falls Bridge starting on Monday. The project will extend the service life of the bridge.

The project will include repairs to the existing foundations, replacement of the superstructure and railings, and reconstruction of the approaches to the bridge. The work is expected to be completed by December.  During the construction, Bala Falls Road will be closed from Walker Street to the north side of the CP Rail Bridge.

The Township says the public should expect construction noise, dust, heavy equipment and traffic delays, during the construction.
