Plans to transform Bigwind Lake Provincial Park, east of Bracebridge, into an all-season, full-service operation will not begin this year. Construction has not started and is not expected this fall, as the project is still in the planning and design phase, including various assessments.

Announced in June 2023, the park will be Ontario's first all-season provincial park built in over 40 years.

Currently, the park offers low-intensity recreational opportunities without staffed facilities.
